Los Angeles Lakers Team-Up

Lakers Assemble! Now we all know that super heroes are all that matter nowadays. Whether it’s their own movie or just a cameo, it’s the interactions with other heroes that we crave to see in spectacular, special-effects heavy, fashion. That being said, let’s not forget some of our own Los Angeles super heroes, the Lakers. With their new seasoned leader LeBron James down to some of the bench players like Caruso, let’s see how these Lakers stack up to the characters of Marvel’s MCU (including Marvel’s Netflix shows).  But first take let us a moment to recognized not just our first comparison but the loss of this talent who is: DeMarcus Cousins - The Hulk Unfortunately, due to injury, DeMarcus is looking like a non-factor for the first part of the season but in a way that makes his comparison all the more suited for him. Here’s a hint, after every dunk, think “SMASH!”. That’s right, Cousins could easily be The Incredible Hulk. The Hulk is a large, quick, and strong hero whose personal...

Full Court Press: DeMarcus Cousins Edition

In a special edition of Full Court Press we take a look at what others are saying about DeMarcus Cousins after his devastating off-season injury. DeMarcus Cousins . Sigh. It's hard not to feel sorry for the guy. No matter what you may think of him as a player or person no one ever wants to see a season, or possibly a career, end on an injury. Also hard not to feel bad for the Lakers. While Danny Green was the key free agent the team added this off-season it was Cousins who had the most upside. The very thought of that tall and ridiculously talented group closing out games left Lakers Executives and fans alike salivating. It was possible. Cousins showed flashes of being that player at time with the Warriors last season. In fact, our very own Gianni Canazo called Cousins the Lakers X-Factor! He was right. A healthy Cousins would have been the third star the Lak...

What if The Los Angeles Lakers Hadn't Waited on Kawhi Leonard?

I write because I like to write. It helps when people read what I write and it helps even more when people comment on what I write. Another benefit that happens every now and then is when I learn something as I research an article. This is that type of article. Hopefully you read it, enjoy it and comment on it; I would be grateful for all of it. An extra added benefit for me as I wrote this is that learned something, a few things actually, as I wrote it. My intent in writing this was to build the team the Lakers would have had had they not waited on a Kawhi Leonard decision. The thought came to me as I watched Stephen A. Smith gently and just above a whisper explain how no one made the Lakers wait. He went on, barely audible, to explain how the Lakers made their decision and should live with the consequences. I agree with Stephen A. His argument centered around the fact that the Lakers already had two of the best players in the Association. He understood why they waited on Kawhi but ...
