Image
In the 2019-20 NBA season the Los Angeles Clippers are a consensus Championship favorite with a bonafide Superstar in Kawhi Leonard. These are the five games you need to circle in your calendar.  The West is loaded and the Clippers will have marquee games throughout the year, but these five  games all have a little extra meaning, and they all revolve around the best player in the NBA, who  just won his second finals MVP. The Clippers five most intriguing games could also be called the  Kawhi victory lap. Kawhi crushed the dreams of all five of these teams, four in last years Championship run and the Lakers this off-season when he chose the Clippers over them. He’ll look to do it again on his way to another championship with his new running mates in LA. Game 1 November 6th: Bucks at Clippers The 1st game against Milwaukee he goes up against Giannis Antetokounmpo who he shut down to  advance to the Finals. Los Angeles Lakers Team-Up

Lakers Assemble! Now we all know that super heroes are all that matter nowadays. Whether it’s their own movie or just a cameo, it’s the interactions with other heroes that we crave to see in spectacular, special-effects heavy, fashion. That being said, let’s not forget some of our own Los Angeles super heroes, the Lakers. With their new seasoned leader LeBron James down to some of the bench players like Caruso, let’s see how these Lakers stack up to the characters of Marvel’s MCU (including Marvel’s Netflix shows).  But first take let us a moment to recognized not just our first comparison but the loss of this talent who is: DeMarcus Cousins - The Hulk Unfortunately, due to injury, DeMarcus is looking like a non-factor for the first part of the season but in a way that makes his comparison all the more suited for him. Los Angeles Lakers: Who Is the X-Factor That Will Bring a Championship to LA?

Image
The Lakers have two established stars in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Teams win Championships though, not individuals. The Lakers need more, they need an X-Factor. Who will that be in 2019-20 for the Purple and Gold? Kyle Kuzma is the first name that comes to mind. He is after all the only young piece the Lakers held on to in the Anthony Davis trade. Kuzma has shown flashes in his first two years, but the jury is still out. Can he play meaningful minutes in big games, will his defense improve, can he make plays for his teammates? Kuzma could be a special player especially alongside LeBron and AD, but he is not the X-factor that will win the Lakers a championship. Danny Green? Coming off another championship run he fills a role that every team needs, a 3 and D player with big-game experience. The Lakers signed him to a 2-year contract and expect him to contribute. But he is not the X-Factor. Green’s shooting has become streaky and while he's a solid defender, he’s not elite...

The NBA has always had a "face". In this article we look at the history of the "face of the league" and examine those in line for the title in 2019-20 The NBA always has and always will be viewed as a player’s league. A game in which the player's faces are so visible to the fans and the fans are so close to the action makes basketball one of the world’s most interactive sports. There are only five players on the court at a time, 15 on a team and one player can dominate a game, and even a season. In fact, over the entire history of the league, there has been at least one person who represented the league for a couple of years at a time. Some have even been recognized as the face of the league for a decade at a time. Some years it was several players who battled for the title best player in the league, and an argument could be made that the best player often coincided with best team or championships. During the late ’50s to the mid-’60s, Bill Russell was the fac...
